The electronic wooden fish synthesises a tap of about 0.16 seconds locally with a Web Audio oscillator. Clicking the fish, or pressing the space bar while no input control has focus, adds one to today's and the total count; it can also tap automatically at intervals of 0.2–3 seconds.

The electronic wooden fish synthesises a tap of about 0.16 seconds locally with a Web Audio oscillator. Clicking the fish, or pressing the space bar while no input control has focus, adds one to today's and the total count; it can also tap automatically at intervals of 0.2–3 seconds.
Even at the smallest auto interval the actual timer runs at about 200 ms at minimum; the position and rotation of the floating “merit +1” use Math.random() and affect the visuals only.
