Braille conversion has three modes: English to Braille, Braille to English, and Chinese to Braille. English is processed character by character under Grade 1 rules; Chinese is first turned into syllables in the browser with pinyin data and is then mapped to Braille cells by initial, final and optional tone, so it is a simplified scheme for learning and is not the same as full publication-grade Chinese braille transcription.

Not advised. Chinese mode deliberately leaves out rules from the full specification, such as word segmentation with joining and omission of tone marks, so it is suitable for learning and reference only.

Numbers = number sign ⠼ + a-j dots; capitals = capital sign ⠠ + letter
English is converted character by character using Grade 1 braille, without contraction rules; Chinese follows the mainstream initial/final mapping of the 《中国盲文》 (Chinese Braille) tone system. This is a simplified implementation — word segmentation, joined writing and omitted tone marks are not supported, so results are for learning and reference only.
