Score a voice-over
Keep the voice at 100%, drop the background music to 20%–40% and render at track A's length.
Guide
Two-Track Audio Mix plays two sounds at the same time and renders them into a single file — for example laying a spoken A track over a background-music B track. Track A is the audio currently selected on the left of the workspace and track B is dropped into the panel separately; either level can be set from 0% to 200%, with A at 100% and B at 60% by default.

The final length can follow “the longer”, “the shorter” or “track A”, and the output is MP3, M4A or WAV. The implementation converts both tracks to 44.1 kHz stereo, then overlays them with amix with automatic normalisation switched off, so setting the levels too high raises a warning about clipping.
| Input | Output | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| A 3-minute voice-over + 5 minutes of BGM | A 100%, B 35%, length follows A → a 3-minute MP3 mix |
The part of the BGM beyond A does not enter the result |
| A 20-second tone + an 8-second sound effect | Length follows the longer → a 20-second WAV |
Both start at the same point and overlay |
Keep the voice at 100%, drop the background music to 20%–40% and render at track A's length.
Overlay ambience and a short cue from the same starting point and output one WAV to keep editing.
Combine a vocal take with an instrumental into one file to audition the level balance quickly.
A start offset cannot be set at the moment; add silence in front of track B first, or use a fuller timeline editor.
The two tracks are added at the gains you set with no automatic normalisation, so combined peaks can exceed full scale; lower the A and B levels and try again.
Both audio tracks are mixed only locally in the browser by ffmpeg.wasm and are never uploaded; the first use of the workbench downloads about 31–32 MB of engine from the site's asset domain or jsDelivr.

Layer two audio files at a chosen balance (amix), e.g. voice over music; outputs audio only — use "Add music to video" for video
Everything runs locally in your browser; files are never uploaded to a server
